At HON, we build sustainability into everything we do—from how we design and source materials to how our products perform over time. It’s a purposeful approach focused on creating solutions that are better for people—and better for the planet.

That commitment shows up in our best-selling chair, Ignition 2.0.

Two green and white office chairs with adjustable features are positioned in a minimalist, white-walled setting.

Built to last, Ignition 2.0 helps reduce waste through long-term performance. With over 5 million chairs shipped and just a 0.5% defect rate, it delivers the kind of reliability that keeps products in use longer and out of landfills.

It’s also made with smarter processes. Ignition 2.0 is manufactured using 100% renewable energy, helping reduce emissions during production. And because it’s adhesive-free and easy to disassemble, it’s designed to make recycling more efficient at the end of its life.

Material choices matter, too. The chair’s spectrum mesh is made from 20% recycled polyester, turning existing materials into a durable, high-performing solution. Reclaimed content is also used in the structural seat pan—another way we’re reducing overall material impact.

Abound cubicles with gallery panels and Contain credenzas.

And like everything we make, Ignition 2.0 is designed to perform. With a range of adjustment options and finish choices, it delivers the comfort, support, and flexibility people expect from HON.

For more than 75 years, we’ve focused on doing things the right way—from our earliest products made with recycled scrap metal to the solutions we design today.

Ignition 2.0 reflects that commitment—proving that sustainable design and dependable performance can go hand in hand.
