Our Journey
At HON, we believe that integrity is the heart of every great partnership. Our trusted connections with members, customers, suppliers, and partners empower us to work together toward a brighter, more sustainable future. With a fresh perspective on processes, materials, and product design, we’re dedicated to creating solutions that not only meet today’s needs but also safeguard our planet for generations to come.
Our Process
Every day at HON, we embrace a collaborative spirit in our operations, striving to make choices that reflect our commitment to sustainability and community.
We’ve minimized adhesive use, making our products easier to disassemble and recycle. Our straightforward repair instructions empower you to extend the life of your furniture, reinforcing our promise of lasting partnerships.
By teaming up with Green Standards, we’re turning surplus furniture into opportunities, diverting waste from landfills, and uplifting communities. Together, we’re cultivating growth and well-being.
With our innovative co-mold technology, we’re transforming post-consumer wood scraps into sturdy seat pans, keeping nearly 10,000 tons of waste out of landfills each year. Plus, we repurpose fabric scraps into “shoddy,” a sustainable acoustical material, enhancing resource efficiency.
Our Materials
The materials we choose reflect our deep respect for people and the planet. At HON, we’re dedicated to sourcing fresh, impactful materials that make a difference.
By the end of 2025, we’ll replace all Styrofoam packaging with recyclable options, having already removed almost 50% from our products. This bold move showcases our commitment to making responsible choices that benefit the environment.
In collaboration with the SEAQUAL® Initiative, we’re turning reclaimed marine litter into beautiful fabrics.
We’ve worked closely with our suppliers to eliminate PFAS from our offerings, ensuring a safer, healthier environment for our customers and employees alike.
