HON has always been known for making spaces work. For more than 80 years, that has meant dependable products, practical design, and solutions that help organizations get more out of every square foot.

But today, “making space work” means something bigger.

Workplaces are expected to support focus, collaboration, connection, privacy, flexibility, and culture — often all within the same day. Learning environments are being asked to do just as much, adapting to different teaching styles, student needs, and moments of movement, concentration, and engagement.

The new HON Chicago Flagship was built for that reality.

Opening in Fulton Market in June 2026, the 12,000-square-foot Flagship is the most complete expression of HON to date. It brings workplace and education solutions together in one environment, giving customers, dealers, and designers a clearer way to see how HON supports the full range of spaces people use every day.

HON Flagship

A Full-Floorplate Point of View

The Flagship was designed around a simple idea: products are easier to understand when you can see how they work together.

Private office settings, collaborative zones, meeting rooms, lounges, workstations, and learning environments are shown as part of a larger whole — not as separate product stories. That matters because real projects rarely happen one category at a time. A school may need classrooms, admin areas, commons spaces, and faculty work zones. A workplace may need focus rooms, team settings, private offices, social hubs, and places to recharge.

The Chicago Flagship shows how those needs can be addressed through one connected HON portfolio.

Built for Better Conversations

For dealers and designers, the Flagship is more than a place to bring clients. It is a place to make decisions easier.

Instead of talking through a furniture plan in the abstract, partners can walk customers through real applications: how a private office supports focus, how a collaborative zone encourages teamwork, how a learning setting adapts to different activities, or how a lounge area can create a more welcoming experience.

That kind of context changes the conversation. It helps customers see not just what a product looks like, but how it works, where it fits, and why it matters.

Practical Design, Built In

The Flagship also reflects what has always made HON different: design that is approachable, durable, and made for real use.

Across the space, visitors can see how HON balances style with performance — from products built for daily wear to flexible solutions that support changing needs over time. The experience is polished, but it is not precious. It is designed to be used, tested, discussed, and understood.

That practicality is part of the brand’s DNA. It is also what makes the new Flagship feel distinctly HON.

Responsibility Across the Portfolio

The Chicago Flagship also brings HON’s responsible manufacturing story into clearer view. BIFMA LEVEL® certified products, SCS Indoor Advantage Gold certifications, recycled material innovations like CoMold®, and zero-waste-to-landfill manufacturing efforts are all part of the larger story behind the products on display.

For HON, responsibility is not a separate message. It is part of how products are designed, made, and expected to perform over time.

Built to Be Seen

The Chicago Flagship brings the HON portfolio together in a way that feels practical, cohesive, and easy to experience. It gives dealers, designers, and customers a clearer understanding of how HON supports the spaces people use every day.

More than anything, it reflects what HON has always focused on: helping organizations create spaces that work.

This is HON, built to be seen.
