Kansas Statute K.S.A 75-5276 requires that state agencies purchase goods and services, including office furniture, from Kansas Correctional Industries (KCI).  State agencies can purchase under this contract but must supply a signed waiver from KCI for all contract purchases. 

Universities, colleges, cities, counties, and municipalities are exempt, and no waiver is required.

This contract is an open catalog for all political subdivisions (cities, counties, municipalities, schools, higher education).  Waivers are not required for political subdivisions.
