With the new year quickly approaching, everyone begins to think of their New Year’s resolutions.  Some will give up sugary foods or try to stop a bad habit while others will commit to a new exercise program or weight loss goal.  Whatever the resolution happens to be, it is usually made in hopes of becoming a better you.  Why not make a resolution for healthier habits that extend to the workplace as well as at home?

‘Tis the season of holiday cheer, and what better way to celebrate than to bring some of that cheer to the office. Here are 4 easy ways to celebrate the holidays no matter where you work:

1. It is always nice to be able to wake up and have a little taste of the holiday at the start of your day. My personal favorite is a Winter Wake Up tea or some nice holiday creamer in your coffee. It’s a great way to spruce up your regular routine and get in the holiday spirit before you even get to the office.

As we gather the fallen leaves, pick the ripening apples, and overstuff the quintessential bird, we occasionally tend to forget that it’s the season to be thankful. Alas, not this year! I started at The HON Company in June and have enjoyed working here the past few months. Who knew there was so much to learn about office furniture? As a new member of our Sales team, I had the opportunity to participate in an internal contest where I won my very own Desktop Riser – a new tool from HON that allows you to easily transform your standard seated-height desk into a standing desk.

Most products that we use in our daily lives go through some form of testing before they are launched into the market. The workplace has gone through many shifts over the years, with style, layout, design, and furniture having a lot to do with that. My name is Jared Roumfort and I am a 21-year-old college student at the University of Northern Iowa, currently interning in Marketing at The HON Company.  While being here this summer, I have already learned a lot about the workplace and the different tendencies people have.
