Welcome and Reception:
Welcome and reception areas are the first spaces someone sees when they enter a building; especially, for the first time. That’s why it’s important to use furniture in these spaces that is inviting and leaves a positive impression. Try to incorporate soft seating that draws people in to the space. Don’t forget the impact that lighting can play in making a space inviting. It is also nice to consider some sort of service area to make people feel welcome.
As I sat here overwhelmed by my overflowing inbox (as I’m sure yours is as well) thinking there's no way I could ever catch up on all of my e-mails, I knew there had to be a better way! I recently finished Cal Newport’s latest book, So Good They Can’t Ignore You: Why Skills Trump Passion in the Quest for Work you Love.
The book starts off with the premise that “follow your passion” is not necessarily enough to create long term work you love.
