While a percentage of employees remain remote, many of us have resumed our early morning commutes. But whether you’re in the office every day or enjoying a hybrid schedule, adjusting to life in the office after time away can be a challenge.
Why? Because the comforts of home are dependable and safe. Home-brewed java, cozy couches, peace and quiet. But something has been missing: Connection to one another. We’re craving well-balanced community spaces that bring us together.
Raise your hand if you remember the days of basic desks, standard lockers, designated classrooms for certain subjects, and—of course—the school library. While all of these general spaces and solutions did the job, there wasn’t much room for thoughtful flexibility and meaningful interactive learning.
The good news? We’re reinventing the traditional classroom.
Teaching at every level is vital to our communities. People are drawn to the profession because they know they can make a difference in their students’ lives. Most teachers are clear-eyed about the ups and downs of the job — it’s never been stress-free. Yet, as masterfully as most teachers handle it, stress is starting to drive them away.
